ITU Triathlon World Championships 2009 |
The World Triathlon Championships are to be held in Southport on the Gold Coast from the 9th - 13th September 2009. As always BTS will be catering for our diverse athlete mix and we encourage everyone to take part in this once in a lifetime event in some capacity. World Champ Qualifiers Congratulations to all those that have qualified to represent their country in the Sprint and Olympic distance races. This is a fantastic achievement and to ensure you are racing fit for the 12th and 13th of September, BTS will be offering a World Champs specific program starting on the 25th May. The opportunity to train with other World Champ athletes in a specific program will ensure you are performing at your best come race day. As part of the build-up a triathlon camp will be held from Friday 19th June to Sunday 21st June. The camp is specifically intended for those that have qualified for Worlds and will focus on all aspects of the swim, bike, run as well as recovery and nutrition. First Time Triathletes The World Champs Festival is set to be one of the biggest events in Australia this year. If you are keen to get involved but have never done a triathlon before, our 6 week beginners course will give you everything you need for race day. The beginners course will build your skills and fitness in a supportive group environment across swimming, cycling, running and transitions. People's Race The people's race is a great chance to get involved in the festival and then watch all the big names compete in the major events.
